How to Make High School Students Career-Ready

U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona recently highlighted the need to expand the exposure of high schoolers to career and workplace experiences.

“We have the students for the careers needed to build America,” Cardona told an audience in Washington, D.C. “We just have to align our systems better and clear the path for our students.”

According to a post-graduation readiness survey by You Science, 32%, of women students and 22% of men said they were rarely or never exposed to careers in high school. While 70% of male students knew CTE courses were available, only 50% of female students did.
